We  hosted a Paddle for Autism on  Saturday, April 28th 2012.  We helped raise just under $3,200.  Great Job to everyone who came out and helped us with this event.  The funds will help the local families who have children with Autism.  This years Paddle for Autism will be bigger and better and we hope to raise more than last year.

On Memorial Weekend 2011, Troy Smith, a boy scout with troop 535, built and installed 5 duck nesting boxes on our property.  This was a project for his Eagle Scout requirement.  Troy writes “These breeding boxes will help provide a place for ducks to have their ducklings and stay safe until they are old enough to protect themselves.  They will be put on the side of a tree within a mile of water facing open water.  The boxes will be made out of cedar in order to withstand weather conditions.”
